Yes...this is ALL about me, and mine. Marvellously self indulgent, feel free to tell me how splendid I am, leave comments, nice ones please, I have little kids and teenagers who can do the rude stuff. I am a grandma, to the glorious Joshua, I'm allowed to look frazzled and weary, I earned it. The older I get, the more I see that hanging on and being patient is worth it! They ( whoever 'they' are) are so right when they say you never know what is around the corner, it isn't always an articulated truck! It is vital to make the time for making memories, friends are the greatest treasure, I love mine. I am rich!

We have such great conversations!

H to me " Have you ever wondered what King George looked like?"
Me to H " Oh my goodness, I can't tell you, I've lost sleep over it"
H to me ( though I wonder why he bothers) " He looked like THIS...." and he showed me a picture.

Our whole life is like that, jealous, aren't you?
And well you might be.

Well, all those sleeps you missed wondering what he looked like! Now you can sleep peacefully!
That H! He is a life savor!

Lol, that was funny. I wonder why Henry the 8th had so many wives. All the pictures I have seen of him he is fat and unattractive. Tell H to send me a picture.

I think it's wonderful. I tend to ask the really silly questions and after Brian stops giggling, he's nice enough to answer them!

I found an old penny or half penny once with King George V on it.
He looked rather noble in profile big crown on his head
Can I be all nerdy and tell you that after H mentioned it I DID wonder - and I looked it up on the internet. No sleep lost.

Me too, Jenn! Nerd alert! We can be in the nerd herd together.

Helen, that conversation sounds strangely (and sadly) familiar!

I certainly feel your pain Helen. I have one of those husbands. He ponders about everything, then ask me these questions...hell, I don't know what I am cooking for dinner, much less the answer to these stupid questions.
