Yes...this is ALL about me, and mine. Marvellously self indulgent, feel free to tell me how splendid I am, leave comments, nice ones please, I have little kids and teenagers who can do the rude stuff. I am a grandma, to the glorious Joshua, I'm allowed to look frazzled and weary, I earned it. The older I get, the more I see that hanging on and being patient is worth it! They ( whoever 'they' are) are so right when they say you never know what is around the corner, it isn't always an articulated truck! It is vital to make the time for making memories, friends are the greatest treasure, I love mine. I am rich!

The boys first day....

If anyone tells you that I actually did have a bit of pang and hung around making coughing sounds to see if he would even look to see that I was going, you know, LEAVING him, there...without me, they are lying. I came home and put my feet up...and read my halloween magazine my sister sent me, without having to get up and get a drink for anyone. See, I wasn't a bit sad.

Looks like he was fine being left there. It was hard for me to leave mine for the first time. I think I cried and was upset more than he was

So did you run away skipping and laughing and enjoying your precious moments of solitude?
I think he looks adorable going to school. Whats with the rain on first day of school? Here too.
Next year will be my singing and skipping year, although I will admit I dropped Matthew off this morning and left without hanging around and skipped home. Of course i'm worried NOW, but they haven't called at all, and I don't hear any sirens going off, so he hasn't started a fire, or anything like that.....just waiting for my phone to ring, that's all.
